It was a privilege to give the keynote address at Carilion Clinic’s annual Nursing Research Conference in November 2018.
A capacity crowd of nurses, health care providers, researchers, administrators and clinicians turned out for the conference, which centered on the theme Transforming Care through Nursing Research.
In my remarks, I focused on global health and the case for continued US leadership and engagement. I shared insights from my recent collaboration with international thought leaders, educators, and public health professionals on the groundbreaking report Global Health and the Future Role of the United States that spells out the challenges, solutions, and risks we face if we fail to move forward.
